Dans cette nouvelle saison, Ephraim Goodweather (Cory Stoll) utilisera ce qu’il a apris en saison 1 pour combattre les infectés. Ils déclarent la guerre aux vampires. Au générique de The Strain on trouve aussi Mia Maestro, Kevin Durand, Jonathan Hyde, Miguel Gomez, Ben Hyland, Natalie Madison-Brown et Samantha Mathis.
La saison 2 de The Strain démarre le 12 juillet sur FX.
