Résultats des Critics’ Choice Television Awards avec Breaking Bad et Game of Thrones qui repartent tous les deux avec le prix de la meilleure série dramatique tandis que The Big Bang Theory domine les comédies.
Lundi soir avaient lieu les Critics’ Choice Television Awards. La cérémonie était présentée par Retta de Parks and Recreation. Game of Thrones qui vient de finir la diffusion de sa saison 3 est récompensée comme meilleure série dramatique mais la série n’est pas seule puisque c’est un ex-æquo avec Breaking Bad. Son acteur principal Bryan Cranston l’emporte aussi pour son rôle de Walter White. Pour la meilleure actrice, c’est la petite nouvelle Tatiana Maslany le la série de BBC America Orphan Black qui coiffe les favorites Claire Danes, Juliana Margulies et Vera Farmiga au poteau.
American Horror Story qui dominait les nominations dans les catégories mini-séries ou téléfilm repart avec deux prix pour ses acteurs Zachary Quinto et Sarah Paulson. La série de Ryan Murphy perd dans la catégorie meilleur téléfilm ou mini-série face à Ma vie avec Liberace de Steven Soderbergh. The Big Bang Theory qui était la comédie la plus nommée repart avec le Critics’ Choice de la meilleure comédie et Kaley Cuoco et Simon Helberg ont chacun été récompensés. Contre toute attente, Jim Parsons perd face à Louis C.K dans la catégorie meilleur acteur dans une comédie. Une belle victoire pour Louis C.K qui devient chouchou des critiques.
Certains résultats dans l’ensemble étaient assez attendus mais de bonnes surprises en sortent. Patton Oswalt l’emporte sur les prestations magnifiques de Bob Newhart dans The Big Bang Theory et David Lynch dans Louie. Mais Oswalt était monumental dans le monologue qu’il a livré dans Parks and Recreation. C’est donc une victoire méritée. Belle surprise aussi pour Michael Cudlitz dans Southland qui mérite sa victoire pour une série de qualité qui fut beaucoup ignorée de ces cérémonies.
