Les Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. continue de tenter de débusquer les agents de l’H.Y.D.R.A. et de reprendre le contrôle de l’agence. ABC dévoile des photos pour les deux prochains épisodes intitulés The Only Light in the Darkness et Nothing Personal. Dans le premier, alors que leur monde est complètement retourné, Coulson doit sauver la vie de son vrai amour alors que le mystère de la violoncelliste, qui a commencé dans Avengers, est finalement révélé. En guest star on retrouve Bill Baxton, Patrick Brennan, Amy Acker, BJ Britt et Patton Oswalt.

Pour Nothing Personal, alors que l’équipe pense qu’ils ne peuvent plus faire confiance à personne, l’agent Maria Hill revient pour travailler avec Coulson juste au moment où le S.H.I.E.L.D. est détruit autour d’eux. Cobie Smulders est en guest-star de cet épisode avec J. August Richards, Adrian Pasdar, B.J Britt et Josh Breeding.
